We were first introduced to Arabians with the purchase of a partbred mare Rhiannons Dream (Kehilan Crystal x Regalis Brion Belles) in 1981. In 1983 we purchased the mare, Pasadena Pamela (Kehilan Crystal x Pasadena Natasha) and the colt, Ralvon Kaptain (Gai General x Ralvon Ritana) - the foundation of our stud.
The prefix "Shanadarr" was lodged and accepted by the Arabian Horse Society of Australia in 1983. Shanadarr Arabian Stud was born and resided in Kellyville NSW until the mid eighties, it was then relocated to Bulga NSW in the Hunter Valley. After thirteen years the stud moved to our current property at Westbrook, 14km NE of Singleton.
Shanadarr showed the stud's progeny through the eighties to early nineties in Ag shows, All Breed shows, Nationals and East Coast Arabian shows along with some Arabian racing and endurance.
The stud now focuses on competing in endurance and breeding pure and high percentage Crabbet horses with good bone, conformation and temperament for performance and show.
